I am not thrilled that this has been rejected since efi support is not so good on Fedora.
How do you mean, it's supported quite well IMO with support for things like secure boot and UEFI capsule updates for updating system firmware I feel it's in quite good state with people improving on things constantly.
Devices that are BIOS can IIRC still use efi using a boot tool installed to the MBR which emulates EFI and than loads the EFI loader. This would be a one time step.
Why bother, just adds an extra layer of complexity with no added benefits that UEFI provides.
Hopefully Fedora will have enough resources to support systemd-boot on Fedora Silverblue, which has never worked so far due to ostree naming conventions
I see that less likely because of the need to have a already stretched team supporting yet another boot path.
