Absolutely. Free bugs and changing behaviors out from under drivers that don't expect it isn't really a practical thing to do.
Bummer. There goes my hope of not having to tweak kernels on FC2. :-(
Well, i guess one of the many yum repos, especially the multimedia-oriented ones (e.g. PlanetCCRMA), will do The Right Thing, so i won't have to waste time compiling kernels.
