Until Microsoft decides to abandon 32-bit we will still need it.
Working with Windows developers (developing applications for Windows, not Windows itself :-) ) I must confirm that 32-bit applications for Windows are still pretty common. Because "why should we rebuild our binaries for 64 bits if 32-bit binaries work everywhere while 64-bit ones not necessarily."
