Bugzilla is much less useful when it cannot be kept clean. Red Hat's
EOL bug process is something I very much wish we had in GNOME Bugzilla,
which, by comparison, is a complete mess. (Of course, the inability to
reopen a closed bug, or change the affected version, is a serious
issue.)
