Yeah, it looks like the php-imap package was dropped in the F34 testing cycle due to an issue that probably only needed a simple rebuild to fix:
If I remember correctly, the problem was in uw-imap, which was abandoned and removed from Fedora: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/uw-imap/c/ba748fd8f4697d79cf54a4b8a488f95...
php-imap is just a wrapper around uw-imap, and as a result was removed, too. In other words, it's not only a question of rebuilding, as dependencies for php-imap are no longer in Fedora.
I rely on php-imap for authentication purposes on a _lot_ (using php packages that remain included with Fedora!) so this is actually a major blocking issue for me.
Time to start migration to non-abandoned solution :(
