Presumably that would imply that there would be no way to diagnose the problem if the graphics did not work properly...
Why not (while using rhgb) a nice Progress bar like in win2k? Or maybe a progress bar that is mostly unseeable on fast machines (like in XP). Currently with rhgb I seem things like

And then X starts. Those are not helpfull and could be avoided IMHO
