The few times I tried this the 3.x versions did not work at all, and 2.x was quite segfault happy.

You can give this a quick build/test and let me know if you still find problems:

just tried a rebuild in centos-4. first issue:spec requires libpcap (instead of libpcap-devel as fc6) and either libnet (available in dag's repo) or libnet-devel (epel4). In both variants mock build fails with:
