Hi folks,

This week's update. Changes from last week:
 - 50 more packages in owners.list
 - 20 less packages in NEW review requests
 - 96 more open BZ bug tickets

I'm guessing we can start looking at closing or rejuvenating the fc5 BZ
tickets.  Any volunteers ?

I'm also wondering a bit about the EPEL- and OLPC-only packages that are
also listed in the Fedora owners.list: is it really the proper way to
do things ?

Hi Chris,

The report shows petitboot (#235409) as not available in the  
development repo, but it is.

Yes, the script failed to parse the Summary field of the ticket because
there was no space after the colon of "Review Request:"...

Rum is listed in the potential problems section but the review request 
was closed because upstream lost interest in maintaining it.

I see 3 options (given the package has been approved already):
1. find a maintainer willing to own it (maybe the person who reviewed)
2. mark it dead in CVS
3. drop the FE-ACCEPT blocker (and lose the reviewing work...)

Yea, I'm still unsure how to handle EPEL and OLPC only packages.
Should they be listed in owners.list ?
pro: they are part of the Fedora project
con: they do not appear in the Fedora package collection itself

Why two 'ddrescue's out there?

There is a package called 'dd_rescue' already in Rawhide:
Name   : dd_rescue
Arch   : i386
Version: 1.12
Release: 6.fc7
Size   : 37 k
Repo   : development
Summary: Fault tolerant "dd" utility for rescuing data from bad media
Description:
ddrescue is a utility similar to the system utility "dd" which copies
data from a file or block device to another. ddrescue does however
not abort on errors in the input file. This makes it suitable for
rescuing data from media with errors, e.g. a disk with bad sectors.

This package includes dd_rhelp, a wrapper script facilating data
recovery.

Maybe, but there is scarce little in the description field to clarify
the difference. The 'dd_rescue' package talks about 'ddrecue' in its
description, which is misleading since end-users would not be
searching the Web and archives to make out the difference.

Even more confusing because there are multiple versions of ddrescue
-- one in the review queue -- and dd_rescue in Fedora obsoletes
ddrescue. ;o)

At least the spec file ought to contain a comment to explain this.
