You are search in pkgdb's 'applications' area. The other parts of
lightdm aren't an application (ie, don't have a .desktop file).
You might be better off using the new packages search:
https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/s/lightdm
The applications and such areas are being removed from pkgdb in favor
of the packages application, so thats the place to look moving forward.

When you search for "Applications" (the default) the results only show
certain user visible packages (i think ones with .desktop files). If
you click "packages" when searching it should show all packages.
I think searching applications by default is a stupid idea when that
web app is mostly used by packagers but i really can't be bothered to
argue with people.

It returns you to pkgdb to set acls and the relationships tab gives an
error. I was mainly looking at it to manage permissions (right now).
And when I meant functional I meant FULLY functional, meaning I
wouldn't have to touch pkdgb ever again.

It is functional for the purpose of searching packages which was the
original topic of the conversation. I have replaced the pkgdb link with a
reference to this new UI to avoid any confusion.

2 things:
1) I want to be able to login and click "My packages" and see all my packages.
2) I want to be able to change acls without having to go back to
pkgdb. In fact, this might take exporting the pkdgb database and
putting it in to the same or seperate database Moksha uses.
Don't get me wrong, I love this application but it needs work to fully
replace pkgdb.. unless that wasn't the intended purpose in the first
place.. in which case that would be unfortunate.

There is no misunderstanding. What you want is outside of the scope of the
web application currently since it doesnt intend to replace pkgdb. It was
within the scope of the "Fedora community" app but that became too complex
and slow so the team has come up with this new targeted approach. Maybe
they can extend the scope again but one step a time.

Thanks for the quick feed-back, I'm glad to see that these points were
already on the list.
Removing the ajax calls (so allowing no js) should solve the spammy
problem as well. The group ownership is pretty much planned but we still
need to figure out the details.
We're also thinking of a "Become comaintainer" button that applies for
you to all ACLs for the latest 2 branches (for example).
In the same spirit, maybe a "Watch package" button that applies for the
watchcommits and watchbugs ACLs.
Basically, simplify the interface while still providing the more current
possibilities if one wishes.
Any other suggestions are welcomed of course :)

You'd probably want the default to be all active Fedora branches rather
than the latest 2.
You might have another button for all branches (which includes EPEL).
People wanting other than those two groups are probably going to pick
and choose, so it's probably not worth having group buttons.

Don't make that unavoidable though; some members of the Perl SIG prefer
to see commits and bug reports via the perl-devel list (which is an
InitialCC for most perl modules, and all of the ones maintained in this

This is planned for the next release of pkgdb which is pretty much ready
and should happen after the alpha freeze.
