Hi,
While being a maintainer of the GRASS GIS rpms for years, I am not fully sure about the procedure to get QGIS rebuilds triggered (in a side-tag with GRASS GIS).
I have updated GRASS GIS to the latest stable: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2268514
and submitted it to
- https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/grass/commits/rawhide - https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/grass/commits/f40 - https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/grass/commits/f39
What would be the next step? I don't have write access for QGIS (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/qgis). Sorry if this is RTFM, the procedure isn't fully clear to me :)
Thanks, Markus
Hello Markus,
From my understanding, you either have to be the maintainer / co-maintainer of QGIS or a provenpackager to initiate the build. If you are neither of those, then you need to ask the maintainers of QGIS or a provenpackager to do the rebuild in your side-tag.

Hi Markus
I'm happy to help coordinating the grass update. Note however that:
- If the update does not carry ABI changes (and hence soname bumps), a rebuild of QGIS is not needed - If The update does carry a soname bump, it should be avoided in stable releases

It is a patch release only without ABI changes, so I don't expect any soname bump. Then no QGIS recompilation should be needed at all. I didn't submit any builds yet to avoid problems unless having this clarified.
