Someone on Reddit noted that there's a zero-length file named `1` in /
on their F25 system. I just looked on mine, and I have one too. It's
not owned by any RPM. And I checked on an F24 box, and it's got that
too. Anyone know where this is coming from?

I believe it's gunk created by the Live ISO creation process. I've
seen it pop up from spinning ISOs using livecd-creator and
livemedia-creator. If you do an installation from netinstall or an install DVD,
the file isn't present.

It was bug in binutils packaging. It's fixed.

I see it's fixed now, and it's great. However, funny thing is, I
remember this file being created in root's $HOME (/root/1) around RHEL3
or RHEL4 (not sure if Fedora at that time had it too).
