Becouse this kernel has a issue by using the nvidia driver, I have put
a bug request on
livna.org, see:
http://bugzilla.livna.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289
to create a new RPM, which should contain a patch which allow to use the
nvidia driver with 2.6.9 kernels until the release of the next official
version of the nvidia driver should fix this bug.
Are you sure you haven't been bitten by
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=136478 instead? The
livna.org nvidia drivers run flawlessly< so far here (admittedly with
-1.639 and not -1.640 but AFAICS that shouldn't matter).
