Originally reported by Michael Biebl to the Debian Bug Tracking System, see
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=616620>:
Hi,
since upgrading ttf-liberation from 1.05.2.20091019-4 to
1.06.0.20100721-1, the letter 'u' and 'U' has become much "thiner" in
comparison to other letters. See the attached screenshot I took from the
SPON website, especially the word "um".
I downgraded to the squeeze version again and the problem is gone, so
this is a regression of the new upstream release.
Cheers,
Michael
> Is only the sans variant affected or also the serif one?
Hard to say, as the serif letter is completely different. I only recognized
this
with the sans version.
I have to add, that I use LCD, RGB, and full hinting

A new version of Comfortaa (2.002) is available since Monday at
http://www.deviantart.com/download/105395949/comfortaa___font_by_aajohan-...
(although the archive name wasn't updated, the fonts it contains are completely
new).
All the glyphs of this newest version were completely redrawn at a higher
quality; it is particularly visible when using the font at large sizes. Most of
the Cyrillic glyphs were also redesigned. At last, kerning is significatively
improved with this version, and some hinting was added too.

[Bug 487913] Review Request: culmus-fancy-fonts - Fancy fonts for Hebrew

--- Comment #13 from Nadav Har'El <nyh(a)math.technion.ac.il> 2012-01-29 16:56:25 EST ---
I don't see myself "taking over" these fonts, as I have hardly any idea how to
create an RPM :( Is there any reason why Pravins would find it hard to package
Culmus Gan (for example) in addition to the dozen Culmus fonts he's already
packaging? I don't know if he's reading this... Should I open an issue on the
"culmus-fonts" package (and ask that this issue be closed as WONTFIX)?
