GNOME (or gnome-tweaks) should have own default value for sub-pixel rendering.
those config is written like respecting it. So if they change something after
copying them into /etc/fonts/conf.d, that may means they have some problem to
enable it. and I'm afraid I can't make it off hand because that may also means
it will take effects on all the desktops for users. We need more observation
for that change and need to change the default value on each desktop
environments too if it is really best.
