Still no gnome-games?
by Horst H. von Brand
The gnome-games package on the mirrors can't be read, neither can the
header. This makes yum quite unhappy when updating...

Just did. No changes, still can't get the package to update.
In any case, you can't download the package from
<http://download.fedora.redhat.com> via Firefox either...

Python namespace in packages
by Ignacio Vazquez-Abrams
One thing I've always wondered is why a Python namespace isn't being
used even though it's one of the primary languages used in Fedora. It
doesn't make any sense to me why they aren't implemented. Does anyone
have a reasonable explanation of why not?

totem still the default for cd play but cd play feature removed from totem
by Gianluca Cecchi
When inserting a cd-audio, totem starts but an error message states
that it is not able to play although a plugin is present to handle it.
The same if Places --> Audio Disc.
Totem message is due to the recent changes that removed cd audio play
support in it, ok.
Is this an upstream thing?
If so, I'd have to go through gnome bugzilla to ask for update.
If this is a personalization of fedora, is it possible to change also
gnome default application
for cd audio management?
BTW, starting manually cd play with r'n'box is ok for me.
Or does this depend on package updates not correctly managing changes,
such as for the recent post for gdm?
Thanks,
Gianluca

Proposal - don't install .rpmnew unless changed
by Neal Becker
It would save admins a lot of time if we modify rpm so that it does not
create a .rpmnew file if there is no change from the old file. I would
think this would be a simple modification.

Default wallpapers to breeze Developers & Enthusiastic Fedora users
by Kevin Verma
Hello,
Before composing this email, I simply wanted to suggest a wallpaper
signed by Illiad to be added as one of the Default Wallpapers shipped
into Fedora (I am not saying the Default pre-set)
http://images.google.co.in/images?hs=gUz&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.m...
Beyond this thought I feel it would be a very nice idea that Fedora
marketing team can identify few of the Guru developers, Book authors,
OSS/GPL mentors/biz guys and find if they are impressed with Fedora
and will like to sign off a wallpaper for Fedora Project and
preferably related/based to one their work.
If the idea in the above paragraph seems any good, maybe it will also
be a good point to take a full testimonial account, than just the
comment and a signed wallpaper :) for the FP wiki.
Cheers,
