dbus-daemon/Evo eat CPU
by Bojan Smojver
Just noticed that with today's updates, dbus-daemon and Evo eat CPU like
it's going out of fashion. Probably due to something in SELinux policy:
-----------------------------
type=USER_AVC msg=audit(1138097250.998:651308): user pid=7040 uid=81
auid=4294967295 msg='avc: denied { send_msg } for msgtype=method_call
interface=org.freedesktop.DBus member=Hello dest=org.freedesktop.DBus
spid=8809 scontext=user_u:system_r:unconfined_t
tcontext=user_u:system_r:initrc_t tclass=dbus : exe="?" (sauid=81, host
name=?, addr=?, terminal=?)'
-----------------------------
This all happens when Evo starts. If I do "setenforce 0", the CPU of
Xorg goes to 99.9% for a while and then everything returns back to
normal. Doing "setenforce 1" after that doesn't change things - it must
be something in Evo startup that triggers this.
Anyone else noticed this? A brief look in Bugzilla didn't reveal anthing
obvious...

Short, descriptive, to the point; gets to (rightfully) use the
brand-recognized Linux name.

I see no problem there.

Why worry about that /now/? And why should Fedora on Linux users worry
about the naming problems other people might conceivably have in the
future?

Upstream for RPM?
by Roozbeh Pournader
Is there an upstream for RPM bug reports? Or should I report RPM bugs in
Red Hat's bugzilla? I'm asking because www.rpm.org refers to 4.2 as the
latest version...

Problems with Xorg after yesterdays yum... (rawhide)
by casimiro barreto
Hello,
After yesterday upgrade, X server stoped working properly. Screen keeps
loosing sync (aparently IO from keyboard is messing server). Tried
something like decreasing frequency/resolution. Nothing works. The
chipset is SIS REAL256E motherboard ASUS P4S800-MX SE). Last kernel. I
even recompiled the kernel to ensure proper modules are present.
Best regards,
Casimiro

New artwork!
by Horst H. von Brand
Very nicely done, congrats!
One small(ish) nit (due to the current flamefest around here, in part): Why
the "core" in "Fedora core"? AFAICS, that is just /one/ part of the whole
collection under the Fedora umbrella. Just "Fedora" would be enough.

Unable to upgrade to totem 1.3.1-1
by Emeric Maschino
Hi,
For some days now, I'm not able to upgrade to totem 1.3.1-1 on my Itanium
workstation because of a missing depency for libtotem-plparser.so.0()(64bit)
that's needed by rhythmbox.
Is this issue specific to IA-64 or all 64-bit platforms?
Cheers,
Émeric
