anaconda traceback

upgrade to pulseaudio 0.9.8 and/or rawhide kernel makes audio fail

I yum-upgraded from F8 to rawhide but the current versions of the kernel and pulseaudio 0.9.8 kill audio for me. Using the latest F8 kernel and downgrading some pulseaudio packages back to their F8 version brings audio back to life. Is anybody else seeing this? Problems with InstantMirror and iso images

For some reason apparently the download.fedora.redhat.com server doesn't product Last-Modified headers for iso images. This prevents InstantMirror from working with them. Evolution bug doesn't get fixed - please contribute somehow

I use Evolution for my job. My company let me choose my desktop and I choose Fedora. My company uses exchange and I tested it on FC6 and it worked then great and it still works great, but on Fedora 8 it doesn't. I can't use Fedora 8 and Evolution for reading exchange email because or a bug [1] which lingers on for too much time. If you are experienced bugtracker I urge you to please, please contribute somehow in fixing this bug. Thank you a lot in advance. Valent from Croatia. F8 + rawhide in Qemu

I installed F8 in Qemu in order to test rawhide. However, after I updated recently I no longer have network connectivity (the NIC is gone). Have any of you run into this issue? Mark Bidewell

Renaming anjuta-gdl to libgdl

I propose to rename the anjuta-gdl package to lbgdl. The prefix anjuta- seems to imply that the package is dependent on the main anjuta (owned by me) package , which is not the case. In fact, it is the other way round. Even then, it is not anjuta specific and being the GNOME Devtools Library which can be used by other applications also. Currently the gnome-python2-gdl (owned by Matthew Barnes) package provides Python bindings to this library, and would be affected by this change. The gnome-build (previously held by Paul F. Policy on introducing new packages for discontinued projects?

Hi There, I'm working on updating maven2 in Fedora, and one of the dependencies that it is cascading into is Jakarta Slide. This project hasn't had updates for a while, and is now officially dead as stated on the main page: http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/index.html The component is not critical to core maven functionality, and can be disabled. My question is: What is Fedora policy for introducing new packages for defunct projects? Specially when those packages provide optional functionality... IMO the functionality should be disabled until maven2 moves to use a different project for WebDAV deployment. In the mean time, users using the Fedora maven2 will continue to be able to use the functionality, but it will just not work in offline mode (assuming we don't package Slide). Deepak

I get a message: openvrml-0.17.2-1.fc8 not tagged with dist-f8-updates-candidate What does this mean, exactly?
