So anyone know how to register a component with mozilla without a UI?
I took a look at the install.js script in the mozex xpi file and paired
it down so that it would just install the component globally, but you
still need to run mozilla and you have to okay the install of the
component.
How is the spellchecker installed automagically? Was the various
rdf,reg,etc,etc files just patched?

Using mozex it is possible to define external programs that can handle
various tasks like: mailto:, news:, telnet:, and ftp: urls; view source;
edit content areas & download files.
If people think it should be in a separate RPM I will take a go at
