Look at all the software that has been written for GTK1 and obsolete
libraries that hasn't been ported and therefore no longer runs on
Fedora. Wouldn't it have been nice to continue to have a practical
option to use that software, even if it doesn't integrate that well
and it no longer has an active maintainer?
no because exactly that is terrible from security point of view
this means unmaintained code careless in the distribution
you can be pretty sure that in the case bad tings happening later
Fedora as distribution and Linux at all will be made responsible
for such bad behavior "look they have the same troubles and no
longer more secure than OSX and Windows"
