I have produced jigdo files for the Fedora Core 6 ISO images.
Jigdo,
which is in Fedora Extras, produces image files from the constituent
files. If you have a copy of the core repository, you can produce the
ISO images. Downloading the packages can sometimes be faster and more
reliable than downloads the ISO images. If you have the DVD, you can
unpack it and produce the CD images. Jigdo will also download the
files from the mirrors for you.
Hrm, the repodata and such on the CDs/DVDs is not the same that is in the core
exploaded repo. Does jigdo account for this?
