The result of that attitude is that performance work in the desktop space is happening
on GNOME OS images, or in Flatpak runtimes instead of on Fedora. Which is a bit
sad for Fedora as a supposedly developer-friendly environment.
I agree, this is a completely unacceptable statement to make. The
problem isn't sysprof, the problem is that profiling is garbage on
Linux by default. And while maybe most developers may not bother to do
profiling right now, we don't know if they wouldn't if profiling tools
*worked*.
