Apparently, 3 user+2 moderator complaints [1] are enough to close a thread.
This is quite ironic since the statistics of a poll of 180 real users
were regarded insignificant and biased by the same people.

Please read up what statistics even mean ... this has nothing do do
with statistics and polling.
