If there is no associated soname, but only a symlink, I think that it is
normal that rpm doesn't detect it, and the linker shouldn't either.
If libcaca now provides the soname, then there is a bug somewhere.
Dependant external programs simply need to be rebuilt. Another
(ugly)
solution might be to add explicit "Provides:" for libcucul sonames to
the package.
But would the linker find the link? If not then the Provides should not
be there and packages should be rebuilt, to pick the new soname.
