Ewww! So people like Electron so much that they redid essentially the same
thing (duct-taping together Chromium and Node.js, taking advantage of the
fact that both use the same JavaScript engine, V8) from scratch? How does
this differ from Electron?
This is actually a prereq for another application I'd like to get
in
Fedora.
Electron has never made it into Fedora so far. I suspect that NW.js might
not be any easier to package. It depends on whether the build system is any
saner or whether they also heavily rely on downloading prebuilt blobs
(making it a real pain to build everything from source and without build-
time network access as required in Fedora) as Electron does.
