There isn't a bug here.Yum is doing exactly what it says to do. If steve
wants an x86_64-pure system then in order to avoid obsoletes coming in
like this he needs to add an exclude.
I don't think it's an acceptable solution for the very common case where you
want some ix86 packages on an x86_64 system. FWIW, smart seems to do the
right thing out of the box (which is one of the few remaining reasons I
personally still prefer it over yum).
