Portage, superior? Um, no.
I ran Sabayon once. Couldn't update the base system to the latest versions of
the programs because the system had almost no dependency resolution at all,
and I actually had to manually update each package, one at a time, to get it
to update properly. If I just tried updating like in Fedora, the system
would die after the first three or four packages, reporting a missing
dependency the system seemed incapable of doing itself.
