Absolute -1!
IMHO, removing working packages from users' systems just because the new
release no longer ships them is entirely unnecessary and a total disservice
to users.
== Upgrade/compatibility impact ==
During an upgrade, all retired packages will be automatically removed.
User may opt-out by:
<pre>
$ cat /etc/dnf/dnf.conf
[main]
...
exclude=fedora-retired-packages
</pre>
Is this actually honored by all tools, including PackageKit? (Last I
checked, PackageKit ignored dnf.conf entirely.) The opt-out needs to work
with PackageKit to be of any use.
