You might note I didn't say that.
I'd like to see the people working in those language communities
work at adding the missing bits to those upstream systems so the mapping
gets less incomplete and conversion can approach 1:1. That's the only way
it can work: add the missing capabilities to the less-complete system.
Yes - but the first thing that needs to happen is for rpm/Fedora to
support consuming any upstream metadata *at all*. Even if it was just
"rpm/Fedora will assume %prep can be run with just @buildsys, and run
through /usr/share/rpm/frameworks/{autotools.sh,ruby.rb} for scripts to
extract metadata from the source".
