If you wanted to move to /usr/share/doc/gdb, you could take advantage of
the %{_pkgdocdir} property that it points to the main package, for
example like in the attached patch.
The whole goal of my mail was to say if the packaging rule is s/-doc$// then
the system macros should implement it that way.
Why every pacakge should workaround it instead?
