I am having the same issue here. Booting the xen kernel just freezes
there with that VGA message.

Out of curiosity what does memtest86 think of the box. A mix of random
memory
and disk corruptions is a good candidate for suspecting RAM (although it's
certainly not conclusive and it could be an FC9 triggered bug)
I installed OK (upgraded over a Fedora Rel 8 using DVD).
Kernel XEN boots to the point that the message "Releasing VGA" appears. Then
it freezes (a poweroff is necessary because system don't catch keyboard
IRQs).
System is: ASUS PS800-MX SE with 2 160GBytes SATA, two 80GBytes ATA and a
RTL8139 additional network board. RAM is 2GBytes.
