At the very least it gives people a heads-up that some things might
break in the next rawhide. Especially when those dependent packages
aren't owned by you such as qgis and python-basemap:
Hey guess what the geos bump is an API change. You quick fix of the
build script for python-basemap doesn't actually work the code checks
the geos version via a library call. So your "fix" gets basemap
building...but it will not import. Please, please, please test
patches in runtime before merging them.
