Hi, I would like to try to use un my Asus notebook with Fedora 29
this ASUS USB3.0 HZ-3 Docking Station
https://www.asus.com/it/Laptops-Accessories/ASUS_USB30_HZ3_Docking_Station/
For Linux I have found this driver:
https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/
But "Ubuntu" is not a S.O, it's a Distro! ... a S.O. like other mentioned
in this page is: "Linux"! ... not "Ubuntu"
Ubuntu is Linux, Linux is not Ubuntu!
This is very irritating ... Why not share simply a driver for Linux (then for all
distros) ?
Why this drivers is not into kernel of default?
Basically displaylink isn't part of the open USB standards protocol
like say USB storage/input etc so it's a proprietary standard without
an open driver and without decent open spec or the details to write an
open driver its not great. I think the Arch Wiki describes it well
