That's pretty disingenious. Hardware manufacturers have not produced 96dpi laptops for
years and the same people that worship the 96 dpi holy cow will tell you desktops are
deads and laptops the only present or future.
96dpi is a convenient "consensus" to avoid fixing the stack. And then newer
entrants like Apple or Google show up having fixed *their* stack with dips and hidpi, and
the emperor is naked.
