You are correct kind Sir. Once I hit the space bar quickly enough to catch
grub, I went back to kernel 51 and it boots just fine. I need to make sure I
save that one! Thanks for the help and speedy reply.

Believe there is an issue with the Rawhide mkinird and encrypted disk
partitions.
If you have a previous kernel, you should be able to boot with that.
BZ describes reverting mkinitrd and rebuilding the initrd, but I
suspect a "fix" is in the works.
