This all came up in the mass rebuild, so it wasn't known at the time
the proposal was written. I'll add more information to the Change page.
I think it was rather unfortunate that this change was pushed to
rawhide only a very short time before the mass rebuild. This way there
was neither a "testing" period in which issues could have been found,
nor was there opportunity to fix them *before* the mass rebuild. All
this could probably have been avoided with a less tight schedule ...
(same goes for a lot of the GCC 12 issues or %set_build_flags ...)
