You're talking to the person who is doing most of the maintenance effort on
qt3 and kdelibs3 and who is always vetoing any proposals to retire them.
I do care about keeping the stuff we ship working, a lot even. But keeping
compatibility libraries for old sonames where a simple rebuild is enough to
fix all the software we ship is just useless. Compatibility libraries only
make sense where porting is not trivial.
