Another method might be to add an alternate strip binary/script which
filters based on your preferred criteria.
%global __strip %{_sourcedir}/my-strip.sh
Actually mingw uses this technique to specify their own PE-aware strip
binary. Maybe that would be helpful to you? (I guess only if all
your binaries need to be stripped in the same way ...)
%global __strip %{mingw32_strip}
