Guys,
there's available [1] new Firefox package with emulated CSD rendering [2].
What does it mean for you? Firefox renders CSD decorations on its own then and you don't see the default gnome titlebar on top of the main window and you get a "Chromish" look. That should also work with Firefox light themes.
But you need to enable it explicitly at about:config. Set "widget.allow-client-side-decoration" to true and restart the browser.
Please report any issues to bugzilla.redhat.com and mentions it's the CSD version. I'm also interested on testing when "widget.allow-client-side-decoration" is false - to make sure it does not break anything.
Thanks! ma.

Two notes for the beginning:
* I am missing the title of the page.
* Why are there the minimize/maximize buttons? They should not be there in Gnome.

As long as it's user-configurable (meaning it will show min/max if enabled in GTT) then I don't mind not showing them by default. But if they just get ripped out completely then that's not okay for myself and many others.
I was able to view the title of the page in the Top Bar. That function is accessible via Gnome Tweak.
Minimize and maximize buttons should remain disabled by default on Gnome Shell.
i disagree with the Min an Max buttons being disabled by default, they should remain ON . on Windows an MACOSX there on by default so why not Linux? people stay with Windows cause its user friendly. only way Linux will get more users an thats to keep Linux user friendly,

It should match the desktop environment it's running on. In Gnome, the buttons should not be there (or possibly depending on the desktop setting for them). If the other desktops want them, then that's fine. I don't know how difficult that would be to manage.

Aha, now I realized that the page title is supposed to be visible on the tab probably, but that does not work with more then just a few opened tabs ....

The Menu Bar didn't go anywhere; if you had it enabled, it should be there.

i never said it did go anywhere, im just saying how bad the Hamburger menu is. another reason why People use Google Chrome.
but getting back ontopic, i dont mind those 3 Buttons, there small enough that they dont bother you unlike the way they were before, fat an ugly.

I just looked at Chrome and it's very similar to Firefox. There is no menubar and the ALT key doesn't even bring up a menu at all. Instead of the "hamburger" menu, there is just a vertical row of 3 dots which brings up a much more limited menu. So why is Chrome so much better?

Still, "another reason why People use Google Chrome." doesn't make sense to me. Since both browsers have a very similar menu by default and both allow to change it, it clearly is not another reason why people use Chrome.

"Edge" of the window is way off the visible one with an offset somewhere to what window is shown in the picture bellow. Resize cursor is visible way off the visible window border. https://i.imgur.com/v36YoDU.png
Not sure if that is by design, minimize, maximize or close buttons don't show up unless they've been hovered over. Maybe background image has to do something with that.
It would be nice if double clicking on empty space in tab bar would maximize/minimize the entire window.
On KDE the result is terrible.
I get a window inside another window: http://tinyurl.com/yd6ppat3
I can confirm this behaviour @KDE Plasma and also i3 window manager.

Was client-side decoration supposed to work in other DEs, e.g. MATE? Because the native window decoration sticks around.
Did you restart Firefox after setting widget.allow-client-side-decoration ?

Yes and I did get the close/minimize/maximize buttons, but right under the native title bar.
This now landed in Firefox Nightly, and it's working great! The only bug I hit was with the dark theme: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1416673
