Live Image Guide status update (esp. for translators)
by Nathan Thomas
Hi all,
I've finally managed to upload a draft F15 Live Image Guide to
docs.fedoraproject.org. I think. I uploaded all the translations that
were =>80%. Please check your translations and let me know if they are
not up to date with what is in Transifex. There was an urgent bug fix
2-3 weeks ago concerning changes to the procedure for installing from a
live image in GNOME.
Please ignore the pdf version if you find one - I have removed these
from the docs.fp.o repository as they are not building correctly.
Big thanks to all the translators who have to put up with us while we
try to get our heads round all this publican/transifex stuff! Your
patience is much appreciated.
Best wishes,
Nathan

Language mappings for Publican in tx-client
by Dimitris Glezos
Hey all.
Tomorrow we're releasing the Transifex Client 0.5, which includes
support for local language mappings. This support has been in the
devel version for a couple of months already, and we've discussed
about it on IRC.. I hope it's been tested too. Sending this email in
case some more people would like to add some final moment testing.
The feauture allows local, custom language names to be mapped to
upstream canonical language teams. This way we can accommodate
Publican's language names (eg. pt-BR) to the Fedora team names
(pt_BR). This works for both pull & push of the client, allowing
developers with non-standard language names to push files directly to
the correct teams.

Hello,
I would like to be a member of the docs team to help with Fedora
Documentation.
There are instructions on the FAS Group page that states that is required to
send a mail to the list.
Is there a proper procedure that have do be done other than that?

adding FreeIPA docs to Fedora doc site?
by Deon Lackey
Hey, everybody.
I have a challenge. Right now, the FreeIPA docs are hosted on a personal fedorapeople site. Obviously, that's not the best long-term solution, especially if we want to encourage more community involvement in the docs (which we do!). Anyway, I would love do move the docs to https ://docs. fedoraproject .org/en-US/index. html .
Does anyone know how to do that?
If it helps, the docs are in a GIT repo on fedoraproject .org and they already build and package successfully in publican.
Thanks!

Problems with docs.fedoraproject.org
by Nathan Thomas
Hi,
Does anyone know what's happening with docs.fedoraproject.org at the
moment? I tried to push drafts of the Live Image Guide to it a few days
ago, but that failed with an error message; now I've just tried to clone
it after a fresh install and I get another error:

Problem with Publican and PDFs
by Nathan Thomas
Hi,
I've been trying to publish the Live Image Guide, but I can't get pdfs
to build with Publican. I get the following error:
SEVERE: Exception
java.util.MissingResourceException: File event-model.xml not found
then it continues to build, and finally says 'Finished pdf'. However,
when I look in the 'publish' folder there is no pdf present (html is
present and correct).
I'm on a fresh F15 beta install: am I missing a package?
Best wishes,
Nathan

Re: Problem with Publican and PDFs
by Nathan Thomas
Hi Deon,
I was running FOP 1.0 from updates-testing. A downgrade to 0.95 allowed
me to build PDFs successfully. I found the following bug report against
FOP:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=689930
So it looks like this is a known issue.
Thanks for the help!
Nathan
