Hi and a problem
by John Paul Wohlschied
Hi,
My name is John Paul Wonlscheid. I'm an occasional Fedora user and a
frequent writer. I wrote an article for Fedora Magazine a couple of months
ago.
Tonight, I was doing research on third party repos in preparation for
writing an article for another publication, when I came across an error on
the wiki page about third party repos. (An important link on that page
caused an error because it was meant for the old AskFedora forum.) I logged
into FAS hoping I would be able to quickly fix the issue without bothering
anyone. However, I spent the next fifteen minutes following links in the
wiki. It sounds like I need to make a commitment to write documentation to
get access to the wiki to fix one simple problem. Unfortunately, I'm unable
to do that at this time. I'm sending this email in hopes that someone else
will be able to fix the issue.
Please change this link https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/39797/ to
https://askbot.fedoraproject.org/en/question/39797/sticky-what-third-part...
.
Thank you for your time.

Hi. You can ask to be added to the wikiedit FAS group by filing a ticket to Infrastructure Team [1] or you can ask for a temporary membership to the Join SIG [2].
Talking about the provided links: maybe it would be better to point to Fedora quick docs? [3]
Talking about the wiki: nowadays the majority of pages in the Fedora wiki are more a scratchpad and a romantic historical repository than a reliable source of information. If you want to write something, it would be better to contribute to quick docs, also by converting reviewed pages from the wiki.

Request a proposal review
by jacqueline binya
@Sarah Finn and @Pingou
Please kindly review my Outreachy proposal:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M6gxEdx0orTxdVqgZPrm5MyV9O-olHn1Kkl5L...
It's a document on Google Docs and I have given you permission to comment.
One of the Outreachy requirements for a final application is that we must
discuss timelines and deliverables with our mentors and also demonstrate
that as applicants understand the projects we are applying to.
I have taken all that information and turned it into a short proposal.

Re: Quick PR Mention and Mentor Question
by Sarah Finn
Hi Caleb,
I didn't know if it's customary to mention a pull request in an email when
you finish one. I know I get a notification when it's done, but I didn't
know if anyone else did. Just letting people know that I have a couple pull
requests out for review. Not trying to be a bother, though. I know people
are busy. Also, I'm still looking for a mentor to connect with. I was
wondering if I could chat with someone about branching into other parts of
the documentation that I haven't been touching, but just wanted a little
guidance and help.
Thanks so much for reaching out. Apologies on our delay in getting back to
you.
We will review the pull requests and revert back on them by mid next week.
I will loop in with you next week on branching into other parts of the
documentation.
Thanks again Caleb, greatly appreciated
