Hello! All folks there. I need some help in completing my joining process. I am stuck at the "Sending gpg key to mit key server" point. I am starting the story from start because this time I am including some other group's address in TO field.
I studied the Joining Check list page and perform the tasks given there.
1)Introduced my self a couple of days ago. 2) Created the ssh key 3) Created the gpg key (Take a backup of both ~/.ssh and ~/.gnupg directories) 4) Created the Bugzilla account 5) Tried to sent the gpg key to mit server thjrough the command given in the Check list
gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --send-keys GPGKEYID
But at this stage it gives connection time out error. I went to gpg.mit.edu through firefox and read that we can also submit the key by pasting the ASCII of our key on their page. But i couldn't extract the ASCII by the export command
gpg --export --armor alajal@gmail.com > mykey.txt
it returns gpg: WARNING: nothing exported
So please help me to get out of this problem.

Please don't cross-post. Splitting the conversation between lists that way means wasted time for other members and no archive has a complete answer for others to learn from.
No worries if you didn't know it was a problem to cross-post; after all, if no one ever told you, how were to find out? ;-)
gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --send-keys GPGKEYID
What is your GPG key ID?
gpg --export --armor alajal@gmail.com > mykey.txt
it returns gpg: WARNING: nothing exported
Do you get your key and etc. if you do:
gpg --finger alajal
Like this:
gpg --finger quaid pub 1024D/AD0E0C41 2003-11-26 Key fingerprint = 2680 DBFD D968 3141 0115 5F1B D992 0E06 AD0E 0C41 uid Karsten G. Wade (quaid|phig) karsten@karstenwade.com uid Karsten Wade kwade@redhat.com uid Quaid quaid@fedoraproject.org sub 1024g/C07806E8 2003-11-26

I've successfully created the keys. I can extract the ASCII to a txt file. But the only thing i can't do is to send the key to a key server
$gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu llsend-keys E35924AA
It returns No answer for a while but after 1 minute it says Connection Time Out :(
