Jon,
Glad you are thinking about security! If you take a peek over at
you will find one of the
projects I've been working on. It isn't complete but there are some
links in there that will point you to some guides that are more complete
(they are for RHEL 5 but still apply to Fedora 9).
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me!

Hi all,
This is slightly OT, but I think you may well be the best list to
ask :)
I'm thinking about setting up my own server, but if I do decide to do
it, I plan to do it right. This means I want to make sure it's properly
configured and secure, and that it doesn't end up hosting some dodgy
content or relaying spam around the internet! Does anyone have any
suggestions for reading that I can do to help me in this quest?
I know people on this list have been working on a security guide, but
I'm not sure if it covers the topics I need or not. Any advice would be
really appreciated.
Jon
