However, there are many chinese locales and writing an exact match is not possible. The current pattern (used by Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc) in this case is <test compare="contains" name="lang"> <string>zh</string> </test> but we do not really want to match every locale containing "ze". Open gedit and input the combinations mentioned in the attachment using input method. 2. Or else open the attachment in gedit. 3. Observe the left hand side of every combination which is not appearing properly. Actual results: Text does not appear completely. Expected results: Text should appear completely. I use Fedora Live RC1 Beta. And my system locale is en_US.UTF-8. I attached a screen with Firefox titles, Overview-mode title and Pidgin contact window. (In Empathy it looks the same.) Most annoying are fonts in Pidgin or Empathy conversations. We'd like to make font packages use the conf.d/conf.avail split in Fedora 11 but our package auditing tools do not like an /etc/fonts/conf.avail read-only directory at all, strongly hinting the current default should be changed. And if it has to be changed we'd rather it was changed before scores of packages depend on the current default. The filesystem maintainer has been asked to release the corresponding directories in bug #477046 Please rebuild fontconfig against fontpackages-devel to pick up the directory names it defines in macros, and depend on fontpackages-filesystem that owns the directories.
