Subject: SLIP peer-to-peer in FC2
Reply-To: For users of Fedora Core releases <fedora-list(a)redhat.com>
I'm trying to connect two computers using SLIP. I'm running FC2 as the host.
(The client happens to be on BusyBox).
Here's what's happeneing in FC2:
$ su
Password:
# slattach -p slip -s 115200 /dev/ttyS0 &
[1] 3884
# bash: slattach: command not found
$ rpm -q --whatprovides /sbin/slattach
net-tools-1.60-25
Searching the web, it looks like slip isn't loaded and I need to
do a kernel
compile.
Have you installed net-tools?
up2date install net-tools
or
yum install net-tools
