Hi fedora Users ,i am new to fedora.
I downloaded 11g(383DVD) fedora recently. And i burned that iso image in DVD.
When i installed ,i am getting *"kernel panic not syncing attempted to kill
init"* .during Booting itself and the lights are blinking continously.
I have serached google ,but i am not finding correct solution.
If anyone of you got this problem, can you correct me.
You don't say what hardware you are using. That information would be helpful in
diagnosing your problem. Memory size,
partition sizes, file system, etc.
When I have experienced the problem you report in the past it is because the kernel did
not support a hardware feature that my
system had, or there were discrepancies between the versions of main components of the OS.
I had compiled my own kernel, but
the Fedora kernel shouldn't have this problem.
Did you check the media to be sure there were no errors? If there were bad versions in
the software you installed, it might
cause problems as well.
Have you tried running a Fedora 11 liveCD on the same hardware? If the liveCD runs, it
should be possible to configure the DVD install so it can run.
