BIND configuration file

Where is located the configuration file for (BIND) named??? (I guess 
named.conf...)

Usually it is in the default BIND directory.

Look in /var/named.  That's usually the default
location for them.

You'll find it as /etc/named.conf on most installations. 
/var/named is where the files referenced by named.conf are typically 
located (but which can be changed in the /etc/named.conf file).

Named.conf is located in /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf (tnx 
Alexander) but I can't read it with gedit (why??), so I do not know my 
configuration of BIND (if any..). No named.conf file is in my Etc directory.

My problem is:
1) I have a network where Comp 192.168.0.1 is the router/firewall 
connected to Internet (ADSL) with a second NIC.It gets DNS from ISP.
2) DHCP is running fine and IP's are set on the other PC on my network
3) If I set some DNS on my other PC's everything works
4) If I want that other computer get DNS from DNS on 192.168.0.1,  what 
shall I do???
5) I must apologize
This is my dhcpd.conf file to be checked

Point 5 is to be read as: Shame on me that I forgot what I did at work 
where everything seems to work
A further information is taht if I play an IPconfig /all on a Windows PC 
on my network, I shoud get a DNS server entry like 192.168.0.1, that I 
do not get (no line is present!)

Since the linux box gets the DNS from the ISP,  all you need is to set 
up a cacheing nameserver on that machine.  Load and run bind, and then 
have the other boxes inside the firewall use the 192.168.0.1 address for 
their nameservice.

When I did this I do not even have to do anything with the named 
configuration files since it is all dynamic and the caching nameservice 
handles it.

Webmin....is it correct the module configuration, in particular with 
respect to named.conf directory???
It is only a doubt, but I am not very expert, for sure someone is better 
than me as Fedora expert.

I have no experience with webmin using for configuring bind. I doubt it
takes care for the chrooted environment on FC1. In general webmin is not
the tool of choice for each and every configuration task. If you take
for example webmin for configuring Sendmail you will loose your hair. It
is modifying sendmail.cf directly and not using sendmail.mc.

Back to bind, I did not fully understand whether your last posting was
about doubts webmin would be able to set up a valid bind configuration
or whether it would work at all on FC1. Running a nameserver I feel you
should be able to configure it without need for a GUI.

Sorry Alexander, :-) but it does. Webmin -> Servers -> Bind -> Module
Config (Top left corner) ->

I think it reads the option from /etc/syconfig/named at install.

Works 4 Me (TM), but I still do all config on bind manually since I
tried redhat-config-bind and it really fubared the server.
