Sorry, I disagree with this recommendation. This does not answer the
question about up2date's behaviour.
Thanks. I would think that if yum were the official preferred tool, it
would be the tool that pops up when one clicks the up2date taskbar icon.
To Matthew:
Check the header files the strange behaving Fedora host contains below
/var/spool/up2date. Anything specific to be said about the emacs .hdr
file(s)? Maybe erase them and let them be refetched.
