Seeing that RH seems to introduce yum in the distro. one could assume that RH would include some baseurls of interesting repositories in yum.config. Together with a (much needed) improvement of the config-packages app, this could solve a lot of problems for the user. Would this be legal and GPL?

Hi
I fully support RH being strict and only including Free software in the distro.

Yes, sites like http://freshrpms.net/ do have mp3 and other multimedia rpms available...

I don't see why not, but IANAL...

I don't know if it would be legally possible to include baseurls of repositories that have eg. mp3 software; I certainly hope it would be since I use all kinds of free-except-for-the-patents software myself.
