RPM rejected my installation because it is older than current.
How many did you keep? If you kept an even older one, one simplistic
solution is to boot into the very old kernel, uninstall the newest
problem one, then install the in-between one that *you* want.
I always keep several installed, just having two doesn't leave you much
room for solving problems.
