give you some idea..
while such is true, it only applies to default changes. not
_all_ of account info is in prefs.js. see;
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Prefs.js_file
something i should have mentioned, is that i removed 2 account
names by prepending a period to the account names.
the are not shown in the left pane, the account names are still
in the prefs.js file.
The file is named |msgFilterRules.dat|
correct. it is in files directory of _each_ account. which is why
when "Message filters" is opened, "Filters for:" has a drop down
selection.
To back up all the filters, do the following:
* Close all instances of Thunderbird
* Copy the file |msgFilterRules.dat| to a backup location.
To restore the file, to the following:
* Close all instances of Thunderbird
* Copy the file |msgFilterRules.dat| back into your (possibly new)
profile folder
such can be eliminated by prepending a period to file. and a suffix
number, or date stamp as number to file, if accumulation is desired.
Under any normal Linux distro the path probably is like this:
|/home/<username>/.thunderbird/Profiles/<profile>/ImapMail/ \
<mailserver>/msgFilterRules.dat|
are you saying that CentOS is not normal? because i have;
/home/geo/.thunderbird/lihsqjai.default/Mail/inbound.att.net
as path to one of my email accounts.
